Etna and Mt.Ilice
Lava flows, woodlands and nature
Departure from Scuderie Ardichetto. After passing through old roads and paths of woodlands you reach the summit of “Monte Ilice” an old extinct crater approximately 700m a.s.l. and you will ride along the border of the extinct volcano: don’t miss the amazing view over the coast. From here you can see some more volcanic cones, like “Monte Gorna”,” Monte Serra” and others, greened with orchards and vegetation. Your ride continues towards the picnic area where you can taste a good lunch whit typical Sicilian food. After lunch the descent begins towards the starting point.

Skill level: Intermediate
6 to 7 hours on horseback
Ability description: Intermediate, confident and in control at all paces. Comfortable in the saddle for 6 hours or longer. Please indicate health condition in your reservation.
